There is nothing better on a cold evening than a mug of hot cocoa. Or is there? This Vanilla Chai Hot Cocoa has been amped up with Vega One Vanilla Chai. The vanilla chai and dark chocolate come together as the perfect cozy pair, and nobody will ever guess that this hot cocoa is packed with greens, Omega-3s, probiotics, antioxidants, fiber, PLUS vitamins and minerals. You can’t taste the healthy goodness, nor do you see it. Add mini vegan marshmallows and extra dark chocolate chips on top. Finally, grab your favorite book and a warm blanket to wrap up in. - 1 1/2 cups Silk unsweetened almond milk
- 2 Tbsp Vanilla Chai Vega One™ Nutritional Shake
- 2 Tbsp cacao or cocoa powder
- One 2-inch piece of dark chocolate OR 2 Tbsp dark chocolate chips
- Vegan marshmallows, additional chocolate chips, and/or cinnamon, optional
Combine milk, Vega One, and cacao powder in a blender and pulse until mixed well. You can also use a shaker cup, or whisk together vigorously.
Pour mixture into small sauce pan and warm on the stove over medium heat for approximately 5 minutes, or until warm.
Stir in dark chocolate piece or chips. Cook an additional 2 to 3 minutes, or until hot and the chocolate has fully melted.
Pour into your favorite mug. Top with vegan marshmallows, chocolate chips, and/or cinnamon, if desired.
