Strawberry Lemon-Lime Granita

Strawberry Lemon-Lime Granita

While granitas are not instant desserts, they are worth the time and effort. This Sunday make this Strawberry Lemon-Lime Granita to enjoy throughout the week.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh strawberries, quartered
  • 1 serving Lemon Lime Vega Sport® Electrolyte Hydrator
  • 1½ cups water
  • ¼ cup raw agave syrup
  • Fresh lime or lemon Juice, if desired

Preparation

  • In a blender, pulse strawberries until finely pureed.

  • Add Vega Sport Electrolyte Hydrator, water, agave and lemon or lime. Taste and adjust flavors as needed.

  • Add into a container and freeze for 1 hour or until top starts to freeze.

  • Use a fork to scrape top layer into flakey ice crystals and then return to freezer.

  • Scrape again with fork every 30 minutes until the whole mixture is flakey ice crystals.
