Simple Cornbread in a Mug

Serves 1 5 minute prep time

We’ve got your plant-based bowl of chili’s new sidekick. Feast your eyes on this simple cornbread recipe.

  • 3 Tbsp cornmeal
  • 2 Tbsp gluten-free flour mix
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp melted non-dairy butter (such as Earth Balance)
  • 1/8th cup of water or Silk® Unsweetened Almondmilk


  • Place all dry ingredients in small bowl and mix together.

  • Add in wet ingredients and mix together until well combined.

  • Using cooking spray or leftover non-dairy butter, grease mug to prevent cornbread from sticking to the sides.

  • Pour cornbread mixture into mug and cook in microwave for 1 1/2 minutes.
