If you aren’t a fan of eating salads—or need your nutrients to go—green juices are a great way to consume a salad in a glass. Here’s a delicious recipe from our friends at Breville!
Each veggie was thoughtfully added in, here’s why:
Kale: A superfood rich in essential vitamins and minerals, kale is especially high in calcium, potassium, and iron.
Cilantro: This flavorful herb is rich in vitamins, minerals, and chlorophyll.
Spinach: A powerhouse of vitamins, spinach contains twice as much iron as other greens.
Cucumbers: Cucumbers are extremely high in water content, imparting a refreshing, cooling. Unless buying organic, remove the skin before juicing.
Carrots: One of the highest sources of beta carotene, carrots add sweetness to balance bitter-tasting juices.
Green Apples: Adding a little tartness to your juice, many of the nutritional benefits of green apples are concentrated in the skin and outer layers.
