Sweet Potato Latkes

Sweet Potato Latkes

Get wild with your favorite holiday dish and throw caution to the wind. Love potato latkes? Well we’re going to sweeten the deal by tossing out the spuds and swapping them out for sweet potatoes. Live on the wild side and make this for your next holiday get together.


  • 2 Tbsp ground flax seeds
  • 6 Tbsp water
  • 5 sweet potatoes, grated
  • 4 medium sized carrots, grated
  • 1/4 onion, grated
  • 1/2 cup gluten-free flour mix
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp curry powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • Coconut oil, for frying


  • Combine ground flax seeds and water in small bowl and whisk till fully mixed. Set aside.

  • Combine remaining ingredients in large bowl. Mix well.

  • Heat skillet on medium heat, adding enough coconut oil to completely cover the surface of the pan.

  • Form mixture into pancake-like patties, and place on hot skillet. Cook each patty until browned on either side.

  • Remove from heat and enjoy!
