• Why did you change the name from Vega Sport Protein to Vega Protein + Recovery?

  We changed the name from Vega Sport Premium Protein to Vega Protein + Recovery to better reflect the product's dual focus on supporting muscle recovery along with providing high-quality protein.

• What’s the difference between Vega Protein + Recovery and whey protein?

  Vega Protein + Recovery is plant-based, made with real, plant-based food ingredients. It is a good option for those hoping to incorporate more plant-based foods, or those who avoid dairy or whey products. Unlike some other proteins, it is Non-GMO Project verified, vegan, NSF certified, with no sugar added**, and no artificial flavors, colors or sweeteners.

• Are the proteins in the blend isolates or concentrates?

  The pea protein is an isolate and the pumpkin seed and organic sunflower seed proteins are both concentrates.

• Are the probiotics in Protein + Recovery shelf-stable?

  Yes! Bacillus subtilis is a heat stable probiotic that can survive and thrive in harsh environmental conditions. While other types of probiotic strains can die during transportation, storage or digestion, bacillus subtilis can survive the varying changes in temperature, like sitting on your pantry shelf, and the acidic environment of the stomach, allowing them to enter and flourish in your gut.

• What is NSF Certified for Sport?

  We’re committed to safety and quality, which is why we decided to partner with NSF International and their Certified or Sport certification program for this formula.  NSF International is an independent and accredited organization that tests products for over 270 athletic banned substances, and ingredients such as heavy metals. It certifies that what’s on the label is the product and includes ongoing testing of the product formulation, labels and bi-annual audits of our manufacturing facility to ensure Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliance.
