#AskVega FAQ: I lost my scoop. How much should I eat?

Have a question we haven’t answered yet? Post using #AskVega and we’ll get right to it!

Q: “I lost my scoop, how much of this product should I eat?”

A: No worries, we all lose things from time to time. Sometimes the scoop does find its way to the bottom of the tub. I recommend giving your tub a little shake and it may make its way to the top again.

If it doesn’t appear or if you would prefer to use a spoon, move to plan B. Our products are measured in grams with the total scoop weight varying depending on the flavor. Technically speaking, grams are a unit of measuring mass, commonly used in cooking to measure powders, whereas tablespoon is a measure of volume, commonly used in cooking to measure liquids.

Each of our plant-based protein powders are slightly different, which makes this question a little tricky to answer. In terms of one-to-one equivalents, a serving of:

Vega® Protein Smoothie (Vanilla) is 22g, approximately 2 tablespoons
Vega® Protein & Greens (Vanilla) is 30g, approximately 3 tablespoons
Vega One® (French Vanilla) is 38g, approximately 3 ½ tablespoons
Vega Sport® Protein (Vanilla) is 41g, approximately 4 tablespoons
Vega® Essentials (Vanilla) is 34g, approximately 3 tablespoons
Vega® Clean Protein (Vanilla) is 34.5g, approximately 3 ½ tablespoons
Vega One® Organic (French vanilla) is 38g, approximately 3 ½ tablespoons
Vega® Protein & Energy (Vanilla) is 34g, approximately 3 tablespoons
Vega One® Botanical Blends (Spiced Chai) is 36g, approximately 3 ½ tablespoons

Keep in mind these are approximate values and will vary depending on flavor. Hope that helps – happy scooping!
