An exciting and challenging position exists for the Regional sales Manager, Reporting to National Sales Manager- Natural channel.   This position is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, achieving monthly sales targets, managing and mentoring Account Managers and Brokers, and initiating and maintaining ongoing relationships with existing and potential customers in the health food and natural grocery channels. For this role, we are seeking those who have strong leadership capabilities, experience in negotiating and forecasting and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets within the Natural Food Industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead team of 6 professionals to meet or exceed company targets and assist them in supporting their retailers through world-class customer service, strategic business planning, teamwork and relationship building
  • Responsible for leading negotiations with key customers
  • Manage and develop key accounts within the territory
  • Responsible for trade spend for US Natural Business
  • Responsible for revenue forecast for US  Natural Business
  • Initiate and lead regional sales team meetings in order to promote collaboration and the Vega culture
  • Establish revenue and trade spend budgets for all Account Managers and Brokers within the territory
  • Routinely execute National Account plans with field sales team at store level
  • Develop and implement sales KPI’s and other sales metrics; provide summaries to management team
  • Maintain direct line of communication and collaboration with Vega internal cross-functional teams—including Trade Marketing, Brand Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain/Operations

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in Sales Management with direct reports or brokers
  • University or College Degree in Business, Marketing, or Nutrition or equivalent experience
  • Proven track record of positive sales results and territory management in the Natural Products industry
  • Exceptional Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Excellent coaching, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Previous CRM use an asset
  • Leadership program or Management training an asset
  • Strong Negotiator & Motivator
  • Developing Budgets
  • True Team Player
