Overview

An exciting and challenging position exists as a Customer Planning Manager, Canada. Reporting to the Head of Sales, Canada, you will responsible for tracking, recording and reporting on all Accelerate/Grow customer metrics, and executing on important analysis in alignment with the overall company goals. Day to day, you will manage and provide ongoing improvements and optimizations on promotions and identify sales trends and opportunities for product assortment growth.  In this role, you will work across multiple channels, and as well as cross-functionally with Finance and Logistics to drive sales and profitability for Vega and our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track, record, and report performance metrics on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Maintain key sales reports and dashboards and manage ad-hoc reporting requests
  • Monitor product sales across VEGA’s complete product catalog; identify trends, opportunities and outliers
  • Support SKU rationalization strategy and continual risk assessment
  • Provide analysis supporting account P&L performance (Net revenue management)
  • Implementing inventory management process to monitor stock levels to prevent item out-of-stocks, including creating shipping plans, seasonal forecasting and inventory planning
  • Utilize customer POS to determine opportunities and risks
  • Provide post promotional analysis for our Accelerate and Grow customers
  • Provide support with CPG Toolbox (Trade Management system) for our National Sales Managers
  • Play a key role in the Annual Forecast Planning cycle with our core customers
  • Provide deduction support for core customers

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Mathematics or equivalent
  • 3-4 years of Customer Planning experience in a CPG environment required
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills needed; ability to tailor approach based upon audience and message
  • Advanced skills using Microsoft Excel required – ability to build and merge a variety of analytical reports
  • Ability to pull together data from disparate sources to create a clear analysis suitable for presentation to stakeholders from Sales, Marketing, Finance or Senior Management
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of FDM and Natural channels
  • Must possess a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into action
  • Sales and target focused with a high degree of initiative and self–motivation
  • Must possess strong problem-solving analytical skills
  • An enthusiasm for the latest web trends and technologies
  • Proven ability to work in a deadline driven and fast paced environment, while maintaining accuracy is essential
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills as well as the ability to multitask among a multitude of projects and responsibilities
  • Ability and willingness to accept and provide feedback
  • Displays strong professionalism and ability to work well with others
